Global Switchgear has approximately 230 square metres of workshop floor space. This allows us to accept complete switchboards or individual items like circuit breakers for repair and refurbishment.

When spare parts are not available for the older equipment – Global Switchgear has formed an alliance with a number of other companies around the Manchester area who specialise in the manufacture and supply of old obsolete switchgear spares like main and moving contacts, springs, isolating contacts, etc. This has enabled us to successfully repair a number of obsolete circuit breakers thereby saving the client a considerable amount of money and time.

As well as repairing switchgear we are also able to offer our clients a manufacturing facility for LV and MV bespoke panels or extension panels to an original switchboard.

After the repair or refurbishment our in house testing facility carries out the necessary tests to the relevant standards and certificates are issued on completion.

In order to conform to our ISO 9001 quality standard the product must then pass through our inspection process.
